THIS IS A  POST to accommodate images that may not have a home anywhere else, perhaps because they originated from before I started posting, or didn't fall naturally into place elsewhere, or for some other reason that at the moment I've not identified specifically…

I'll start with this: a mussel farm on the northern coast of Finistère original picture taken on 4 November 2017 on the Pointe des Guettes:

This span of countryside (below, two pictures) is no longer as clean as it appears here: wind turbines now stride across the middle distance. Pictures taken early morning on 1 October 2015 and seen from close by the Russian Napoleonic memorial hill (Montaimé) near Vertus.

Poles Apart (below) is a whimsical take on the red and blue poles that stride across the ridges of Ventoux. I always liked them even if they may seem a bit of a blight to the Ventoux purist.

This rendition (rade de morlaix) is self explanatory: I am delighted with the merge of flat sea calm and horizon, not achieved by any other means than through the camera… excluding the additional framing of course.

The picture of poppies below was not taken by me – although the picture of the picture was. I regret not taking note of the name of the photographer. Her/his/their other work was not exceptional, presented possibly within tight financial constraints, so arguably rather small scale for display in the exhibition in the refurbished watch tower at Buisson. I include the image here because the composition and format are very appealing to me… I include the mount the picture had but not the frame. The algal compositions that follow the poppies (my images) are in similar vein perhaps?
